1- Buyer submits a brief project description.
2- The project assistance team researches similar business models to determine the best approach for your project.
3- The project assistance team will review your objectives based on our project analysis and formulate an effective project request.
4- Once your project has been posted and the bids received, the project assistance team will review the providers and provide an analysis on the providers and their bids.
5- During the build process a project team member will work with you to resolve any issues and ensure the project is completed successfully.

Is it free to post a web development project?

Developreneurs is a completely free service for businesses and individuals seeking website development services.

Are we committed to pay for anything if we submit a request?

No, you are only submitting a request to receive quotes, it will be up to you to determine which company to contact and negotiate the fee. You are not obligated to any of the requests received.

How do we sign up for an account?

Buyers do not need to sign up for an account. When you submit your first project request the submission form includes fields for all of your necessary contact information. Once your project is posted you will receive an email with your login information. To post future projects you can login with the account created when posting your first project.

Does Developreneurs give out contact information to providers?

No. As per the Developreneurs privacy policy, we do not give any contact information to providers. If a buyer lists their current website address as part of the project request for example purposes, it may be available to providers, however, it is against the Developreneurs TOS for a provider to attempt to contact a buyer outside of the project board bid process. If a provider does contact you, please report the violation to Buyer Services.

How do we determine which provider will build our project?

After you submit a project you will receive multiple bids via email to the address you provide. It is up to you to review the bids, contact the companies you are interested in, then decide which company will build your project. Developreneurs is not involved in the selection process.

Do we have to select a provider in the Developreneurs network?

Buyers are not required to select a provider in the Developreneurs network. Buyers may still select a local provider, or another company outside the network if they do not find a provider capable of meeting their objectives.

How do we know if a provider is qualified?

The best way to ensure a provider is qualified to do the type of work you are looking for is to check their portfolio for similar projects. You can be confident knowing that all service providers have been pre-screened based on experience, past work with specific project examples, provider accessibility to customers, and flexible payment services. While the ultimate responsibility for selecting a provider falls to the buyer (as per the TOS), you can be assured that the providers bidding on your project have met certain requirements and are in good standing.

   Where do we log in?

What can we do to ensure the project is completed to our satisfaction?

Clarify Project Objective
Tell the provider exactly what you want. If it is a website: Approximately how many pages will your site require? Do you need any special functions like e-commerce, chat rooms, or interactive help centers? Do you already have a domain name and hosting? Do you have any websites similar to the style or format you are looking for? Are there any color schemes you really want? Are there any color schemes you want to avoid? Are there any designs aspects you want or do not want? For example, some buyers do not want pictures of people. Some buyers do not want real flashy colors. Some buyers want a "technical" look to their website. The more information you convey to the provider, the less guesswork they have to do, the quicker your project is completed according to your expectations.

Define Payment & Delivery Schedule
Although most providers give a basic payment structure, such as 50% up front, 50% upon completion, be sure you define in a contract exactly what the terminology of those conditions are. For example, does "upon completion" mean when the designer finishes the design or when it is installed on your server? If it is a large project with a more complex payment schedule, be sure the wording of your agreement is very clear about what is to be delivered and in what time frame.

Get Everything In Writing
We strongly recommend you get the agreement in writing, preferably with some type of buyer/provider service contract. The majority of the time projects are completed without any complications, but in the rare instances when an issue does occur, having your agreement in writing makes arbitration or mediation easier to resolve.

Do we pay Developreneurs for work received?

No, service provider accounting services are independent of Developreneurs, payment is made directly to the company you hire.

How do we settle disputes with providers?

All agreements are solely between buyer and provider. Developreneurs strongly recommends a contract for all services performed. You should hire a provider who clearly explains in your contract how disputes will be resolved. A dispute resolution clause should call for mediation or arbitration if a dispute arises between you and the provider. Mediation and arbitration are quick and inexpensive resolutions to a dispute, particularly when compared to resolving disputes through the legal system.

How do we view all of the bid information?

Bids from providers to buyers are confidential. If you are the buyer and need to view the entire bid, please log in. On the buyer's main admin panel you will see a link to "View Projects". Click the link and on the next page you will see a list of your projects with a description for each one. Click the project you are interested in and you will see the complete list of provider bids in full on the next page.
